Investigation of Multistate Outbreak of E. coli O26 Infections Likely Linked to Consumption of Raw Clover Sprouts (February 15, 2012)
The FDA, CDC, and state health and agriculture authorities are working together to investigate an outbreak of 12 people with Shiga toxin-producing E. coli serogroup O26 (STEC O26) infections reported in five states: Arkansas, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, and Wisconsin.
Investigation Update: Multistate Outbreak of Human Salmonella Typhimurium Infections Linked to Ground Beef (February 1, 2012)
A total of 20 persons infected with the outbreak strain of Salmonella Typhimurium were reported from 7 states. The number of ill persons identified in each state was as follows: HI (1), KY (1), MA (1), ME (4), NH (6), NY (6), and VT (1).
